Meet Dr. Patel, trained and trusted sedation dentist
“5 stars completely. Thank you Dr. Patel and staff for caring about my teeth!”
– Britt V.
Also known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is used to help patients at Green Dentistry overcome anxiety and stay calm during exams, cleanings, and treatments.
With nitrous oxide, you’ll be fully conscious and able to interact with your dentist during treatment. We use a specially designed mask that only covers your nose and won’t make you feel claustrophobic.
Nitrous oxide is completely safe and there’s no recovery period. When you remove the mask the effects of the gas wear off in minutes.
Iatrosedation is a modern approach to the doctor-patient relationship that can reduce anxiety and fear without the need for any medication.
Dr. Patel has been trained in Iatrosedation techniques that allow her to use her voice, mannerisms, and actions to induce a state of relaxation in her patients.
If you’re looking for a way to reduce anxiety without medication, ask Dr. Patel if Iatrosedation is right for you.
Conscious Oral Sedation
For patients who need extra help overcoming dental phobia or anxiety, we offer conscious oral sedation. This form of sedation dentistry uses oral medications to help you feel relaxed and at ease during treatment.
With conscious oral sedation you will be awake throughout treatment and able to communicate with your dentist. It is completely safe and does not require the use of needles or other invasive treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is sedation dentistry safe?
Yes! Dr. Patel offers a wide variety of sedation dentistry options to meet the needs of every patient. Before your appointment begins, Dr. Patel can help you understand the sedation options available to you. Together, you’ll select a form of sedation dentistry that’s right for you.
Will I need a ride home after a sedation dentistry treatment?
Every person is different and different forms of sedation dentistry have longer recovery periods. In most cases, you might want to relax in our office after your treatment before heading home or back to work. If you’re worried about a longer recovery or side effects, ask Dr. Patel. You may wish to have a friend or family member come with you to your appointment. If needed, our front office staff can call a car to take you home.
When do you recommend sedation dentistry?
If you feel uncomfortable, afraid, stressed, or worried about visiting the dentist, you should consider learning about the sedation dentistry options available to you.
