The OASYS Oral/Nasal Airway SystemTM is a comfortable oral appliance that is worn at night while sleeping to treat obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
This innovative device takes a two-fold approach to opening the airways by positioning the jaw forward and dilating the nasal passages. Some appliances may also use a patented Lingual Tongue Button that helps guide the tongue away from the back of the throat and towards the front of the palate.
For many people with sleep apnea, the first treatment recommended is Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). This uses a constant stream of air pressure to force your airway to stay open. While effective, they can be cumbersome and uncomfortable to wear.
Alternatively, an oral appliance works with your body to gently expand the palate and open the nasal passages, so you can breathe freely at night without being connected to a loud, bulky machine.
